Population
i) What’s the population of the country? Compare this to the population of the US
There is approximatly 4.4 million people in New Zealand. Compared to United States with 318 million, New Zealand covers only 1% of United States population. Small number with a big impact.
ii) Where do the people live in this country? Rural areas? Urban areas?
New Zealand people live in a more Urbanized civilization. They are actually a lot like Hawaii but have rural areas closer to and on mountains.
Agriculture
i) What types of agriculture do they have and what type of diet do they have?
Like everyone else, New Zealand has animal farming, crop growing and forestry. Also like Hawaii because of their variety of food. Actually have a WildFood festival in Hokitika once a year where everyone from Europe, Asia, and Polynesia come to show off their food and taste others.
Industry and Tourism
i) Are industry and tourism related to geography and climate?
Yes. Tourism is New Zealand biggest import industry and contributes to 11.8 billion of 17.4 billion of their foreign exchange. New Zealand has great weather year round and never seems to get too cold or too hot. Also with their extinct volcano, mountain ranges for hiking, hot springs, and beaches, you can get a lot of everything from this one Island.
